Introduction
The Research and Professional Development Centre of East Africa University was established with an objective to promote and coordinate the research activities of the University; advise on research priorities geared to the fulfillment of National Development objectives; work as an outreach providing a link or bridge between the University and the World of work in identifying research and courses that are relevant to the needs of industry and professions.
The Research and Professional Development Centre aims at becoming a leading center of research which seeks to restore the dynamic and progressive role of the university in all branches of knowledge, and as such, endeavors to promote research activities within the University and in collaboration with other research and academic institutions and to disseminate research findings through publications, training programs, seminars and through the print media.
As part of its implementation strategies and to realize the stated goals, East Africa University, Garowe established the Research & Professional Development Center in February 2020. The University’s Deputy Director supervises the RPD Center which utilizes the services of a Director or Head.
The Centre serves under two main departments:

To be the best in sub-Saharan Africa while serving as a catalyst for innovation and technology transfer that are focused on development, empowering communities and solving social needs.
Mission
To coordinate, monitor and provide an enabling environment for quality graduate training, innovative research and communication of the research outputs.
